Points essentiels

Plusieurs catégories de navigation de 0 à 5, la catégorie 0 est celle la plus contraignante (course océanique)
La course Cowes Dinard est de Category 3 with RORC prescriptions plus Offshore Special Regulations liferaft.

Contraintes principales d'équipement de la catégorie 3

Tableau page 18 : On yachts with intermediate lifelines the intermediate line shall be not less than 230 mm (9 in) above the working deck.

Page 18 : A taut lanyard of synthetic rope may be used to secure
lifelines provided the gap it closes does not exceed 100

After the start when sail numbers are not displayed elsewhere (sails down) they shall be displayed on the port quarter. It is particularly important that all vessels can be identified so that they can be excluded from any search and rescue operation.
